Practice Policies.

Welcome to HEALthy Way Behavioral Health Services, Pllc. This document outlines our practice's policies and procedures to ensure a clear understanding of our services and expectations. It is designed to guide both clients and clinicians in maintaining a professional, respectful, and effective therapeutic environment.

Telehealth Connectivity Policy

As our practice primarily operates via telehealth, there may be instances where sessions are unexpectedly disconnected. In such cases, if you or the clinician are unable to reconnect, billing will occur based on the amount of time attended during the session.

  • Sessions Less Than 52 Minutes: Clients will be charged at a rate corresponding to the service provided.

  • Sessions More Than 52 Minutes: Clients will be billed according to the rates specified in the financial agreement.

Appointment and Payment Policy

Following your initial appointment, your provider will recommend the appropriate frequency of sessions. Typically, sessions are scheduled weekly, lasting between 45-60 minutes, with each appointment slot reserved for one hour. Once an appointment is booked, full payment is required. To avoid being charged, please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Exceptions to this policy due to extenuating circumstances are at the discretion of HEALthy Way BHS, and we will attempt to reschedule if possible.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, only the remaining time of the session will be available. After 15 minutes, the appointment slot will be considered missed, and a missed appointment fee will apply. Should your provider be delayed by a prior appointment, you will still receive the full session duration, if the time is available. Note: this is at the discretion of the clinician.

Clients who have not attended an appointment for 60 days or more will be considered inactive and may be placed on a waitlist or required to complete the intake process again. Additionally, clients who cancel or miss two consecutive appointments without prior coordination will forfeit their recurring appointment slot.
