Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Our DBT Skills Group focuses on teaching practical tools to help you manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build resilience. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices, making it particularly effective for those struggling with emotional regulation, self-destructive behaviors, or difficulties in relationships.
In this group, you’ll learn skills in four key areas:
-
Mindfulness: Learn to stay present and grounded in the moment.
-
Distress Tolerance: Develop strategies to cope with and tolerate distressing emotions without resorting to harmful behaviors.
-
Emotional Regulation: Gain tools to manage and reduce intense emotional reactions.
-
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Build healthy communication and relationship skills.
Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to practice these skills in a supportive environment, allowing you to apply them in real-life situations with confidence.
